Wise Art of Dreamwork

Basic premises of dreamwork: Dreams come in the service of healing and wholeness. They come with information that we previously have not consciously known. Dreams come in the form of symbolic language; don’t take them literally; they are like parables using association and metaphor. For dreams to be unwrapped, we need to … unwrap. When we let ourselves hear the wisdom of our dreams, we are moving toward integration of our waking self with our deep selves. Dreams are best viewed in terms of offering questions to us, rather than answers. Only the dreamer can know what the dream means for them.

Dreams are significant in scripture, and as the author Bob Hagen puts it: if we neglect them, they become unopened letters from God.

The Wise Art of Midrash

Four sessions of 90 minutes starting Monday 20 September as below

Tikkun olam refers to the Jewish imperative to engage in acts which heal the world’s wounds. Midrash contributes towards such healing, where we enter into the scenes and lives of biblical texts, in order to portray the silences and voice that which is silenced. You do not need to be a poet, writer or artist. Just come with your imagination and the desire to foster healing.

The Wise Art of Conversations with Silence

This course is for anyone: those who are curious about silence but don’t know where to begin, through to those
who may be very experienced in silence and/or silent retreats. Everyone is welcome. Based on the book
“Conversations with Silence: Rosetta Stone of the Soul” by Sally Longley, it is crafted as a safe space to explore
each of the key topics in the book. It will be interactive, drawing on your questions, struggles, wisdom and
experience. Responses (incl. writing, poetry, art, movement, drama) to your own conversations with silence will
be encouraged.
